In my opinion, it’s always useful to keep some Asparagus in the freezer at all times. Add some to stir-fries, incorporate some spears into casseroles, or add some frozen pieces to pasta dishes to give them some flavor.

You must be wondering whether freezing Asparagus is safe. I’ll tell you right now that freezing Asparagus is completely safe. With just the following basic techniques, It can be frozen whenever you want.

Either whole spears or slices of it can be frozen to prevent it from becoming mushy. Then, Put the Asparagus in a strainer and thoroughly rinse it in cold water, and cut off the woody, hard ends with a knife.

To blanch, firstly, bring water to a boil in a large pot, and on the other side, keep a bowl with ice water. After that, boil the asparagus for two to four minutes, depending on the thickness of the spears.

When the Asparagus is boiled, rinse the water and transfer it into ice water to stop the cooking. It is then dried completely.

After the Asparagus has been dried and chopped into pieces or stalks, I place it in plastic bags with a resealable zip-top or in an airtight container. Lastly, I label the zipper bag to remember the date.
